Here at VIPR, we are delighted to share a contribution to Insights Success magazine by our CEO and co-founder, Bob Brown. Having been featured in the magazine on four previous occasions, including being announced as one of ‘20 most innovative fintech solution providers’ earlier this year, Bob was invited to submit an article sharing his viewpoints on the insurance industry. The outcome is a thought leadership piece on ‘CEO Challenges in a Data Driven Era’.
At the start of the article Bob sets the scene by explaining how the amount of data the industry is faced with, which poses a great challenge to the industry. He then goes on to talk about the importance of customer influence, recognising change, the need to collaborate, innovation, as well as preparing for the inevitable. Leading by example, Bob uses VIPR’s first-hand experience on how the company has become disruptive and earned the company a reputation as one of the leading providers for insurance software solutions.
The key issue raised by Bob in the article is that the industry is often too slow to make a change. The need to grasp change and technology is crucial during a time of modernisation throughout the insurance market. As Bob states in his final words, “CEOs shouldn’t avoid the inevitable otherwise there is a good chance of failure.”
