At VIPR, we’re proud to have a reputation for creating innovative software solutions for the insurance industry, with a focus on delegated authorities. Our motivation? Our customers. So, this month we hosted our quarterly user group meeting for our clients, to not only give them an opportunity to share their feedback, but also to announce exciting developments.
Held in a stylish conference room at Balls Brothers, set just off Mincing Lane, the events speakers included; VIPR’s CIO Greg Denham, COO Stewart Williams and CTO Paul Templar as well as George Osborn from JDX Consulting – VIPR Manged Service (VMS) partner and James Littley, an independent insurance consultant who has recently teamed up with VIPR to provide a new service (more on that later).
Starting the agenda, the VIPR team provided an update on how the company has progressed since it launched 10 years ago, including a mention of our recent sponsorship at the Insurance Insider Honours Awards. This was captured in an entertaining video which showed some of our staff at the awards ceremony making moves on the dance floor! The video received many laughs and was a great way to warm up the room.
Key internal company announcements included the expansion of the VIPR team, with the creation of six new roles to support and maintain the company’s first-class service with our growing client base. Our new CSR policy was also announced, with a mention of VIPR’s first company activity to support ‘Jeans for Genes Day’, which you can read all about here.
On the product side, the latest feature developments for our bordereaux management solution, Intrali and coverholder management product, Intarga were revealed. Most importantly and having taken on board client feedback from our last meeting, VIPR announced the introduction of the new Client Portal which will deliver straight-through processing of bordereaux data, making the process quicker than ever before.
We then heard from James Littley, who has a wealth of experience working within the insurance industry, and a previous client of ours. James announced a new service offering that we will be launching soon – VIPR Health Check. This will involve a review of our clients’ processes and the systems they are using to ensure they are getting the most out of VIPR’s software. Check back on our website shortly for further details.
Other topics of discussion included the release of ‘The Future at Lloyd’s’ Blueprint One’, an in-depth document looking at six potential solutions to shape and advance the Lloyd’s market. The importance of data and technology as a big part of the report was highlighted in the meeting, particularly as Lloyd’s want to engage and build on existing technology in the market to ensure they are compatible with Lloyd’s ecosystem – this, VIPR welcomes.
At the end of a successful session, the VIPR team, including our newest members of staff invited guests to network with drinks and a delicious buffet lunch.
