Bridgepoint Invests in VIPR for Growth

test

Bridgepoint invests in VIPR Solutions to accelerate AI innovation, product development and international growth in delegated authority insurance.

03 September 2026: Bridgepoint, one of the world’s leading mid-market investors, has completed a new majority investment in VIPR Solutions (“VIPR”), the leading insurance-native technology platform for Delegated Authority intelligence.

The investment was made via Bridgepoint Growth, the firm’s small-cap fund focused on supporting the continued global expansion of dynamic, rapidly growing businesses, which has become the majority shareholder in VIPR.

At the forefront of Delegated Authority technology since 2009 and headquartered in London, VIPR sits at the heart of how the insurance market exchanges program business data. Its platform helps process bordereaux, the data files at the legal and operational centre of every workflow, which Managing General Agents, coverholders, brokers, fronting carriers, (re)insurers and third-party administrators rely on to record risks, premiums and claims.

VIPR’s AI-enabled platform allows this data to be transferred, standardised, validated and reconciled in a controlled and auditable way. Today, the platform processes around 500,000 bordereaux annually, representing approximately $12 billion of gross written premium, across a base of blue-chip customers.

Over the past decade, VIPR has grown from a single bordereaux processing tool into an end-to-end data and workflow platform, increasingly acting as the market’s system of record. Its deep domain expertise, accumulated data and integration into customer workflows have made it the recognised leader in its field.

Bridgepoint’s investment will provide growth capital to accelerate VIPR’s next phase of development, including continued investment in the platform and product roadmap, scaling VIPR’s existing insurance-native AI capabilities, and further international expansion. The partnership will leverage Bridgepoint’s expertise in scaling high-growth, profitable specialist data technology businesses.

Under the terms of the transaction, VIPR’s existing sponsor Tenzing, a growth equity investor specialising in tech and tech-enabled businesses in the UK and Europe, will fully exit the business. VIPR’s CEO Paul Templar and the wider management team will reinvest alongside Bridgepoint and continue to lead the business.

Paul Templar, Co-Founder & CEO of VIPR, said: “This investment marks the next phase of VIPR’s growth. We have built the leading platform for Delegated Authority intelligence, deeply integrated into the daily operations of many of the world’s leading insurance businesses.

The market is moving quickly. Insurers need better data, faster decisions and technology that delivers real operational outcomes — not black-box promises. VIPR combines insurance-native expertise, market-leading technology and AI-enabled capabilities to help customers run their portfolios with greater speed, control and intelligence.

Bridgepoint brings the scale, experience and international reach to help us move faster. Together, we will accelerate investment in our platform, expand our AI capabilities, grow internationally and continue to strengthen VIPR’s position at the forefront of insurance technology.

With Bridgepoint as our new partner, we are ready to accelerate the next phase of VIPR’s growth, strengthening and extending our leadership across the global re/insurance market.”

Mayank Kanga, Partner at Bridgepoint, said: “VIPR has built a differentiated and defensible position at the centre of a large, structurally growing and under-penetrated market. The company combines deep insurance domain expertise, mission-critical technology and an embedded role in its customers’ workflows. We’re delighted to partner with Paul and the team as they extend this impressive leadership position and expand internationally.”

The transaction was completed in July 2026. Financial details were not disclosed.

Bridgepoint was advised by Houlihan Lokey (Corporate Finance), Ashurst Perkins (Equity Legal), Stephenson Harwood (Banking Legal), Oliver Wyman (Commercial Due Diligence), Interpath (Financial Due Diligence), EY (Tax), JCL Debt Advisory (Debt Advisory), Shawbrook (Lender).

VIPR / Tenzing was advised by Continuum Advisory Partners (Corporate Finance), Simmons & Simmons (Legal), KPMG (Financial), Strategy& (Commercial), Ringstone (Technology) and Riplo (AI).
